Creep, creep, creep, as the big ugly thing quietly stomped along trying not to step on the miniature furballs tail, while it rests on the purple and white polkadot pillow. “Meow! hmmm…. why is food so yum?”

Weather features

These last few weeks we have been learning about weather. This type of writing is an information report with the right structure. The structure of an information report is a general statement then description and then evaluation.

Weather features

Holy molly! it is so hot to day, can you feel the hot burning sun shine?

Weather is minute by minute changing. Climate can take around 30 years of changing.

Thunder & lighting

Thunder & lighting is one of the most scariest and most loudest because the thunder booms and bangs which gives me a little warning and tells me that there is lighting is coming.

Lighting is scary because it can badly hurt people. We don’t get Thunder & lighting all the time like other places.did you know that not all bolts of lightning doesn't hit the ground.

As lightning rises the moisture condenses to form towering clouds. When the droplets become very heavy a downpour follows. Columns of cooled air then sink the earthward striking the ground with strong winds or a thunderstorm.

Thunder & lightning is my favorite weather because it has always had a nice boom,bang and a big clap nothing can beat the weather.

This week we started something to do with weather. We had to make a painting. The way we made the painting was by using a white crayon and drew lines for the rain and then drew ovals for puddles and if we wanted to we could do a rainbow so I did. Then we waited for 2 days. Then we used different colored dies for angry clouds. Then we waited again for it to dry.    

Antarctica description

These thew weeks we have been learning about Antarctica. so last Thursday we went to the Antarctica center. so when we got back we started on a description so here is my description.

Err it is so cold because it is at the bottom of the world

Antarctica is a cold desert continent because it never rains. It is found at the bottom of the world.

Antarctic is bigger than Europe and Australia. Antarctica  is the coldest and windiest place in the world.

The reason antarctica is always cold and windy is because it is a frozen continent and because there is lots of wind.

There are many  types of wildlife like penguins,  seals and killer whales. The seals are really cute and look like you could give them a hug with no fus but actually it is the opposite. Penguins are a bit friendlier because they are nice and you can feed them and if you're lucky you might still have a whole hand after.

Antarctica is a brilliant place to be because all the amazing things to look at. I hope I can go when I am older.

My hiding place

This week we have been learning about hiding places. I have chosen to write a description. So here is my writing.

My hiding place

Sssssshhhhhh, it's a secret. My hiding spot is in school grounds and outside.  It is  dark so you have to look very carefully for me because I blend in with the thing’s that are around me.

The thing’s I can see are people walking around and leaves falling off the trees. The things I can hear are the kids yelling over the whistling wind. I can also hear the annoying flying fox making the echoing sound and peoples footsteps as they walk past. The smell around me is fresh air and the grass getting mowed by the caretaker. Also the brown brittle bark that smells like fresh firewood.

The way I feel about my hiding spot is safe and secure but I also feel cosey and  warm. I think my hiding spot is the best in the world.

Crocodilians

I have been learning about Crocodilians. I learned that the babies eggs get  stolen in the first year.

Nile crocodiles

I have been learning about Nile crocodiles. I learned that they eat washing women!
