intimation report

These last few weeks we have been learning about Antarctica. This type of writing is an information report with the right structure. The structure of a intimation report is an introduction then description and then evaluation.

Antarctica is the coldest place but I think it is one of the windiest place on earth.

The coldest temperature ever recorded is [- 94.7c]. The climate in Antarctica is very very cold so that's why you have to were heaps and heaps of gear. The fabric of the gear is leather.

The way I feel about the climate is cold windy and warm on the inside.

These last few weeks we have been learning about Antarctica and how to produce a painting of a penguin. So first I sketched my beak and then the body. We had to wait for a couple of days and then we started painting. The first colour was black, then we used orange and yellow. The last colour was white. So here is my picture.

These thew weeks we have been learning about Antarctica. so last Thursday we went to the Antarctica center. so when we got back we started on a description so here is my description.

Err it is so cold because it is at the bottom of the world

Antarctica is a cold desert continent because it never rains. It is found at the bottom of the world.

Antarctic is bigger than Europe and Australia. Antarctica  is the coldest and windiest place in the world.

The reason antarctica is always cold and windy is because it is a frozen continent and because there is lots of wind.

There are many  types of wildlife like penguins,  seals and killer whales. The seals are really cute and look like you could give them a hug with no fus but actually it is the opposite. Penguins are a bit friendlier because they are nice and you can feed them and if you're lucky you might still have a whole hand after.

Antarctica is a brilliant place to be because all the amazing things to look at. I hope I can go when I am older.

My hiding place

This week we have been learning about hiding places. I have chosen to write a description. So here is my writing.

My hiding place

Sssssshhhhhh, it's a secret. My hiding spot is in school grounds and outside.  It is  dark so you have to look very carefully for me because I blend in with the thing’s that are around me.

The thing’s I can see are people walking around and leaves falling off the trees. The things I can hear are the kids yelling over the whistling wind. I can also hear the annoying flying fox making the echoing sound and peoples footsteps as they walk past. The smell around me is fresh air and the grass getting mowed by the caretaker. Also the brown brittle bark that smells like fresh firewood.

The way I feel about my hiding spot is safe and secure but I also feel cosey and  warm. I think my hiding spot is the best in the world.
