Spencer park

Friday was the day that our syndicate went to Spencer Park. We went there to get to know each other better. We went by bus but it wasn't far to travel.

When we got there we had  morning tea. I sat with my friends and we decided what we wanted to play on in the playground. After morning tea we went and played on the climbing net. I just went straight on to it and climbed to the top.
After a while we went down to the beach. When we got there we had to make a tower as tall as we could. We made a good tower out of driftwood but we didn't win.
After that we had some running races on the beach. We run about 50 metres up and back. I won one race.
When the racing was over we went back for lunch. I had tuna and a ham and cheese croissant.
Our next activity was to play on the playground or with some sports gear. I played on the playground for another half an hour.
Lastly we took the bus home to South Hornby School. It was the best day of my life.

matua Persuasive writing

In my opinion I think if I could have a superpower it would be mind reading.If I could mind read I could tell what everyone was thinking. If I went to the shop and someone looked at me, I could tell if they were thinking I was ugly and I would remember for the rest of my life. If someone was thinking to beat up a small kid, I could warn them and help them defend themselves.I could tell if people were thinking good or bad things about me. If people were thinking bad things about me, I could just tell the teacher. But if people were thinking good things about me, I would feel good about myself.If I asked someone a question, and I couldn’t mind read  I would not be able to tell if they are lying or not. If i asked someone a very important question ,for my school work and they lied i would get the question wrong. If I asked someone a non important question and they lied it wouldn’t matter that much but I would still be mad because they lied

In my opinion I think scootering should be banned at all schools.

Scootering is dangerous to others and yourself when you go fast on the  scooters. Because the scooters are solid like a hard metal bar and go very fast they can easily injure someone. Small kids can easily be knocked over because they often aren’t watching.

Scootering can end up dominating the playground because they need room to gain speed. You need a certain  place for scooters at morning tea and lunch times so they are not dominating other playground spaces  and ruining set up games. There is limited space in most playgrounds.

Scootering is a very very dangerous sport. Some of the tricks are very dangerous like spinning a scooter around the rider's head.

Riders don't always wear safety gear because they can’t be bothered and it might take too long to put the gear on. This can lead to horrible injuries like breaks, scrapes and bruises. In my opinion I think all the principals should  ban scooters from schools.

chuck the chicken

I have written a recount. In my writing i might need some feed back. Can you please help me by leaving a comment?

Today after the role we watched a kiwi can video. The video was for a game called chuck the chicken. Chuck the chicken is a very funny game. The classes got divided into two groups. The first group was called the runners and the other group was called the catchers. The runners were in a circle. They had to throw a chicken far away. then the catchers had to catch the chicken.

Capacity and Volume pow toon

These last few weeks we have been learning about Capacity and Volume. Today where trying to read skoals .We got 4 Capacity work sheets. They were all Capacity questions. I got all of the questions right. I am learning to read the scales properly.

Paralympics cycling

If I was asked to compete in a tandem cycling event and you had to choose one person to compete with... i would choose Mrs raisin because she has had a lot of ecsperience and also she used to do BMX.
